SUBJECT: UPDATE ON THE PATIENT PROTECTION AND AFFORDABLE CARE ACT (AKA OBAMACARE)

Alex will be providing an update on the PPACA and discuss what business owners and other stakeholders need to start doing now to be prepared for full implementation of the Act. 2012 Circle of Excellence GOLD Award Winner!!
The CPCU Society South Carolina Chapter recently qualified for the Gold level of the Society’s 2011-2012 Circle of Excellence Recognition Program. The program recognizes chapters for their efforts to achieve specific benchmarks in chapter performance.

CPCU Society chapters become part of the “Circle of Excellence” by completing activities that support the Society’s strategic plan, further chapter goals and help to ensure members’ success. The South Carolina Chapter will be recognized during the CPCU Society’s Annual Meeting and Seminars in Washington, DC.

Interested In Becoming A Candidate Member ??!! Qualifications for Membership
* CPCU student must have passed at least 4 CPCU exams
* CPCU student must be considered “active” by the American Institute for CPCU (AICPCU) (Active is defined by the AICPCU as a student who has had some contact with the AICPCU over the past year, whether it be to request information over the phone, or taking an exam.)
* Pay half the CPCU Society's dues annually of $70 and respective half chapter dues.
* Comply with the CPCU Society Code of Ethics.
